Planned Road Operation

Planned Road Operation

Dear Resident,

Road Safety and Community Action in Wincheap

Today, PC Angell and PC Beer worked alongside the Neighbourhood Policing Team on a targeted road safety operation within the Wincheap ward.

This operation was developed in response to concerns raised by residents through recent community surveys, with a particular focus on road safety issues, nuisance vehicles, and anti-social driving behaviour in the areas highlighted by local people.

As a result of today's proactive enforcement activity:

Two vehicles were seized for having no insurance.

Four traffic offence reports/tickets were issued for offences including no insurance and no MOT.

Two people were arrested in connection with offences identified during the operation.

One person was detained for a search.

A small quantity of controlled drugs was seized.

This operation demonstrates our continued commitment to acting on the concerns raised by residents and making Wincheap's roads safer for everyone. We would like to thank the community for continuing to report issues and complete local surveys, as this information helps us target our patrols and enforcement activity where it is needed most.

We will continue to carry out similar operations across the ward and encourage residents to keep sharing information with us through the appropriate reporting channels.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
